Made in the style of maker’s marks from the 18th and 19th century- and in the same painstaking manner: Jordan hand-cuts each letter stamp in a vintage serif style, hardens the letter, then uses it to stamp the letters into your maker’s mark- the body for which is hand-forged out of high carbon steel. Touchup and border is done with files and gravers, after which the stamp is heat treated for durability.

These touchmarks work well in hot steel or iron, leather, end-grain wood, and cold softer metals such as brass, aluminum, copper, silver, pewter, etc. Ideal for blacksmiths, leatherworkers, and woodworkers. This style of stamp is commonly found on antique edged tools. Letters are roughly 1/8” tall, with a finished 2-letter stamp around 1/4” tall and 3/8” long. Each additional character adds around 3/16” in length to the finished stamp. Other styles and shapes of background are available upon request, but only this one size and style of font at this time.

Two-letter stamps are $250, with each additional letter $25. The two length options are 3-1/2” and 6”. Select the number of letters in “size”, click “add to cart”, and then a box will appear for you to specify stamp body length and what specific letters you need.
